April Star Party

The first star party of the spring was a great success. With over 20 participants and roughly 10 scopes there was plenty of sights to see.

Marc Stowbridge and Ted Blank from The New Hampshire Astronomical Society both made great viewing contributions with their scopes. Marc was instrumental in helping some of the newbies with setup and alignment. His expertise was greatly appreciated.

Thanks to Rhonda for the great salads and Jill & Bob for the racks of ribs. On the grill where burgers and dogs as well.

With warmer weather coming a second star party will soon be in the making.

Clouds and Snow

It seems we have had clouds and snow for months now. I’ve been unable to get out and do more than casual observing for some time. I have decided to post a picture of my new Meade LXD75 mount taken back in October 2007. Hopefully I will have some astronomy pictures to post soon.
